Holidayclaims.com is a subsidiary service of Irwin Mitchell, a 'Legal 500' ranked firm of solicitors based in Sheffield. They approached Quba in 2007 to develop a micro site for their ever increasing holiday accident claims service.
Working on the project as lead creative, I provided the intital concept visuals for the homepage and stepdown page designs.
The internal brief was to design an emotive front-page that used distinctive imagery to sell the service, tucking important secondary info into discreet areas of functionality to be explored but that did not get in the way of the primary sales message.
Re-using important elements of CRM functionality from the existing corporate site, we used bold blocks of colour and simple typographic elememts to emphasise the new; and communicate the existing values of the Irwin Mitchell brand. Discreet javascript enabled feature-boxes enable users to contact the company quickly; removing barriers to access.
Large, easy to find buttons set beneath the main mast-head image that also double as 'calls to action' make this design a fairly atypical layout that I was really pleased with, the step-down pages came out rather nicely too, even if I do say so myself!
