Who would have thought that squishing a satsuma onto your flatbead scanner would be such a great way to spend a sunday afternoon... The composition achieves the 'lifestyle' imagery look and feel that I was aiming for.
Modelled and rendered in 3ds max 5.1, no advanced lighting techniques were used in this rendering. Instead, over 30 spotlights were used in order to fake the radiosity effect and keep the render time short (leaving plenty of time for cleaning the scanner).
