Human hand study

This human hand study is an excercise in organic modelling... another unfinished portfolio piece! The modelling work shown in these renders is about seventy percent complete. The basic proportions are almost correct and the model would really come alive with a nice texture map.

But, until it looks good from every angle (the thumb looks great from this side... and like it's been invloved in a nasty accident from the other) I'll continue to tweak and rebuild the geometry until it is perfect.

I’m not sure that I ever really intend to finish this model, I seem to learn and improve my modeling skills each time I pick it up...

So it's a good job that the reference material is attached to my arm!
